pizza making fun!

First pizza making is a great way to get some photographs and new content for the blog!  I heard recently that children who watch 3.5 hours of television a day, develop attention disorders later in life and do a very poor job at listening to their parents.  So now I'm trying to get my little guy involved with everyday activities around the home.

Pizza making instructions-FREE!

Grab fresh dough from the local store along with the fixin's(flour, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, mozzarella cheese, oregano, basil, garlic powder, black pepper).  Don't forget your pizza sauce(Ragu, Bravo or Classico)!

Make sure you have a pizza oven screen, a rolling pin, cutter and a cutting dish!

Normally we get all the fixin's in order for a smooth workflow.

Depending on your selection of dough, white or whole wheat, first grab some flour and spread it around the dough.  You want to coat the entire dough before your begin to roll it with a rolling-pin.  Once you have your size of choice all rolled out, transfer it to your pizza tray.

-spread pizza sauce on dough
-sprinkle a little oregano, basil and garlic powder over the sauce
-add the grated mozzerella
-spread out your pepperoni's
-add the mushrooms, green peppers and onions
-pre-heat oven to 450 degrees and bake for 20-30 minutes(check periodically)
-remove from oven, transfer pizza to cutting board and serve!

Give yourself a few attempts before you find that preferred pizza flavour.  You can add more spices or cut out some of the fixin's out.  Maybe take things to the next level by adding toppings like bacon or pineapple, perhaps add a different kind of cheese?

Enjoy!
