my branding

so far i have found a potential illustration for a future logo, but it's not what i am envisioning...however it is a start!

Princess Christina

My niece is such a little princess! Still working on her, I haven't captured what my heart desires as I have only photographed her on a few occasions. I've chosen to slowly warm up with her and it seem that she is starting to become curious about the photographer. She is attracted to the camera, or so it seems. I will be posting images from her 1st birthday coming up...so stay tuned!

Candids

It seems that sometimes the candid shots are the best of the best! Children love to play in there own little world, and during those times you can capture some interesting photographs. I quickly seized the moment when Jackson was at his toy box. I think it was the outfit that really did it for me, but I just thought he looked so cute digging around for a toy and I wanted to capture that unique moment for our scrapbook. Keep in mind that I also spent some time editing this photo, as I wanted the colours to be punchy, with a subtle hint of vignetting(shadowing around the frame).

Portraits

I had to pull this one off my Facebook page, as the compliments are overwhelming and it's natural shots like this that get high marks. I would like to introduce more of these types of photographs to my clients, as I am currently pricing out packages etc. I strongly suggest that parents get involved with the styling, the duds, the hair, perhaps somebody in the family is good with make-up and don't forget the shoes! These little gapsters need to be cared for before the photo-shoot!

Little Hamburgler

So my son was sitting by a West facing window and the ambient light was nice and soft, so I took a series of snap shots as he was enjoying his lunch at the local shopping centre. This shot was an absolute favorite because of the natural composure he displayed towards the camera...yes, those are his real blue eyes! All I did to this image was color correct accordingly and I sharpened.

what is joey images?

Well so far it's just a new idea of mine...I would like to start applying my paparazzi and celebrity photography skills to the little people!  Being a dad has opened up my mind more and it has also helped me prioritize my life!

I'm still working on the 'joeyimages' branding with my name though and I'd like to get an illustrator to design a baby Kangaroo for my logo?

I am Joey!

This is my new blog, devoted to my photography.  I take many photographs of my son, as he inspires me endlessly!  The idea is based around my children's photography of him and I hope that I can create more images around children.  I have built a very strong foundation around the development of my photography, whether it be weddings or celebrities!  I am Joey Tavares and I'm about to share my photography with the world!
