Charlie & Co.
Had a blast with the Rock family at Lakeview Park Oshawa! I haven't devoted much time to blogging and Facebook this summer...rather than adding friends, I have been making friends!

Matthew the musician
I was going for a classic pose in this portrait. The way the child holds the guitar helps keep things genuine and you get a sense that the child is compassionate about the guitar. If used correctly, I believe that props can make a huge difference in portraiture! Matthew isn't a musician(not yet), I don't even think he plays the guitar, however he was able to hold this instrument correctly, which leads the viewer to believe that he does!

A bath time portrait
As I've always been inspired by the portrait work of Annie Leibovitz. I find myself trying hard to create stunning portraiture of children...not so easy!

Little Shutterbug
I had a lovely experience with Layla. This little lady was very inspired when I gave her a vintage camera to play with. The minute I placed an old Pentax camera in her tiny hands and explained to her how to wind the film camera and click...she just ran with it! I love cameras and allow my kids to play with them around the house and it's my goal to allow other children to experiment and get old cameras into their hands. How many children actually get the privilege to hold and play with older cameras when our world has gone digital?

NEB'S FUNWORLD
My family and I had a lot of fun today at Neb's Funworld in Oshawa. This is the perfect place for a rain day with the entire family, especially around this time of the year where the bitter weather just lingers! We started our morning in the arcade room, where we spent $20 dollars in tokens and walked away with 800+ fun dollars, which were devoted to a few interesting prizes! After arcades we ventured for a round of bowling, which is one of the core activities at Neb's. We then took a break and enjoyed a pirate theme lunch! The french fries and hot dogs were really good. Once we wrapped up lunch, we got ourselves into a few other activities, such as rock wall climbing, jumping castles, go karts and a few amusement park style rides...all indoors! By the afternoon it became evident that we just couldn't do everything. So we are definitely going back for another family fun adventure!
Special thanks to Santo Chiodo and his staff at Neb's Funworld for all your friendly hospitality. I was really overwhelmed at how clean this place was!
I am now accepting bookings for photography at Neb's!!!
